Collection of field data to prepare/write silvicultural
prescriptions for regeneration, thinning, and harvesting in
context of landscape, watershed, and wildlife habitat issues.
Field exercises in forest entomology, pathology, tree improvement,
and nontimber forest products. Tree planting. Marking stands
for harvest. Taught at Cloquet Forestry Center. Field trips
to forests managed by state/industry.
