Grassland Biodiversity Emerges as Key Factor in Climate Crisis

A trio of University of Minnesota scientists, including Peter Reich from the Department of Forest Resources, has found that the degree of biodiversity in the world’s grasslands is vital to their ability to continue functioning as carbon “sinks” as global carbon dioxide levels rise.
