My research interests include sustainable development,
valuation of market and nonmarket goods and environmental
services associated with forests, watershed management
economics, economics of ecotourism and outdoor recreation,
project and sector planning and evaluation; natural
resources policy. I am involved with research related
to forest and watershed management economics and policy
in Latin America, Asia, and Africa. I serve as an advisor
to many national and international agencies and groups
dealing with natural resources and development issues.
