| Areas of Interest
My research focuses on using geospatial information
technologies such as remote sensing, image processing,
geographic information systems (GIS), and the global
positioning system (GPS) in applications such as the
following:
- Identifying and characterizing natural and anthropogenic
landscape change using multispectral and multitemporal
image data to assess impacts on water quality and
the extents of forest and agricultural lands.
- Developing methods to identify harmful algal blooms
(HABs) in estuarine and riverine areas using hyperspectral
image data.
- Thematic accuracy assessment methods development.
- Wetland characterization
