Applied forest ecology and landscape ecology
Areas of Interest
Broadly, my research explores conservation and natural resource management questions at multiple scales. I use spatial statistics and landscape modeling approaches in conjunction with both remotely sensed and field collected data to answer large-scale management questions and help inform decisionmaking. I also apply experimental and observational methods at the operational scale to examine the impacts of different management strategies and disturbance regimes on both rare or endangered species and broader ecosystem structure.
