Scholarship Opportunities

We are committed to helping our students with the cost of college and currently offer an initial scholarship guarantee to all incoming students to the Forest & Natural Resource Management (FNRM) program. Many students receive additional support through their entire college career. In recent years the total amount of scholarship support to FNRM students has exceeded $100,000 annually.

New Students

As a new student (first-year or transfer), you are automatically considered for scholarships based on your application for admission. This includes automatic consideration for scholarships from our department, our college (CFANS), and University wide scholarships. Scholarships are awarded based on the criteria outlined for each scholarship.

FNRM Scholarship for New Students: Our Department offers ALL new students (first-year and transfers) entering the FNRM major a minimum scholarship award of $1,000. Students receive the award in the form of $500 in each of their first two semesters. Receipt of this scholarship is contingent on continuous enrollment in the FNRM major and showing progress toward completion of a degree in FNRM. This scholarship guarantee is made possible in thanks to the generosity of alumni, faculty, and friends of our program.

Current Students

CFANS offers academic support for current students. There are scholarship opportunities each year, so be sure to apply! Some of the scholarships managed by the college give preference to FNRM students. Additionally, CFANS offers support for students participating in international learning, conferences, unpaid internships, and field sessions at the Cloquet Forestry Center.
